New Life

Our community has experienced a lot of loss in the last number of years. One of the most beautiful things birthed out of these deaths is the new relationships we get to develop with friends’ family members. 

Snickers was part of our community for many years. After she died, her four children wanted to find a way to honour and remember her. They wanted to do something for Sanctuary, a place they recognized their mom called home. Rae-Lynn, her youngest daughter, spearheaded a donation drive at her school. She raised over $500 and collected many bags of blankets to give to the community. 

Snickers would have celebrated a birthday next month. We are very sad she’s gone, but our new friendship with her children and their family has been a gift to us.
