Donald came to our community as a member of the Saturday breakfast community. Sanctuary quickly became a central part of his life and after a few years of hanging out and helping in the kitchen, he felt a call and came to lead our kitchen team in January 2003. 

“My days are busy purchasing, preparing or cooking the drop-in meals. One of my favourite parts of the Bible has always been the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. I’ve always enjoyed food preparation and so I have naturally connected with that story. I love the fact that Jesus cared about feeding people. And I love knowing that I can serve Him by doing the same.”

Donald is married to his beautiful wife, Cathy, and is amazed every day about the goodness God has brought to his life. Donald worships at St, Matthew’s Anglican Church, Riverdale.
